PROCON has been retained by Hilton Worldwide to provide consulting services for the design and construction of the restoration of the iconic 30 story tile facades on each side of the Rainbow Tower, located in Hilton Hawaiian Village, Honolulu, Hawaii. The project is scheduled for completion at the end of 2012 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Hilton Hawaiian Village complex.

PROCON  conducted a forensic investigation of existing conditions, performed computer modeling of the original reinforced concrete, digital photographic documentation of the original mural design, and prepared contract drawings and specifications for construction.  PROCON also will provide contract administration and quality control servicew during construction

PROCON and Hilton have selected Johnson Tiles as vendor to manufacture the replacement tile for the facade. 

The Hawaiian Hilton Rainbow Tower is the signature tower of the historic Resort, recognized by many around the world as an Oahu landmark. The 30 story tower, with mosaic tile rainbows on both the ocean and mountain sides of the building, is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's tallest tile mosaic mural. Artist  Millard Sheets deisgned the original mural in 1968, using over 8,000 ceramic tiles on each side.
